"Oh I'm very angry," she says. "These people are being outrageously unkind."
A Florida homeowners association in Naples has told a community resident who won her battle with breast cancer 16 years ago that she must remove a pink ribbon that she has on display -- even though it is inside her entryway.
Linda Karp got a letter from the Regent's Park HOA informing her about the decision.
She should go and take a **** on the HOA's doorstep .
Charming.
If you don't want to abide by an HOA's rules, then don't live there.
Taking a dump on the doorstep is sophomoric, but that's about what I expect from you.
It doesn't matter what kind of rules you make, mention something like a "survivor" or "child" or "veteran" and it no longer matters. That's the problem with making things personal, you think it's fine to have regulations until YOU want to do it.
Not saying it's right or wrong, but it is the truth.

I have honestly never known what exactly an HOA is, however a quick google search found this
Quote:
" Associations provide services, regulate activities, levy assessments, and may, as delegated by the states legislature, impose fines. Unlike a municipal government, they are not subject to the constitutional constraints that public government must abide by. A homeowners' association can enforce its actions through the threat and levying of fines, and private legal action under civil law.
Thats enough to make me want to boycott the existence of these things entirely
I'm wondering if this is real. Read this paragraph; it reads like a sick joke:
"I'm not offending anyone. My neighbors are all supportive of breast cancer I don't know why their not," Karp said. "It's on the inside of my entry-way."
The copy of the regulations they gave the news channel didn't include anything that prohibits it so I wonder if it's really against the rules, or did they like 99.99% of all HOAs let the power go to their heads?
Who wants to bet that the media isn't telling the whole story, but instead trying to parlay sensationalism into profitable attention. When sharks smell blood...
