This is true. They are actually ignorant about most of the things they support.

Me. And those like me. But hey guess what? We are the minority. We're a small segment of those currently employed.

Nope, no industry can be nationwide anymore. This is not the 1800's where everyone could farm with a few shop keeps and printers here and there.

Sigh. Its not one side thats ignorant of economics.
some on the right have a view of economics as being the exact same as their household. Which is completely ignorant. Some on the left think its ran off fairy dust, and that there are no consequences for changing it but the good ones. Both are seriously deluded.

Then there are the ones that think they know economics better then people who dedicate their lives to it. Its one thing to play armchair economists, its another to believe that you are 100% always right.

Claiming its one side is inaccurate at best.

You are right though as it's not "free money" and is only available to those that worked.
On the contrary, unemployment taxes are deducted from the paychecks of workers in Alaska, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Ok then a "few" individuals pay into UE via their paychecks.

I agree with the basis of your argument but.....Bernanke dedicated his life to it but there were quite a few people who haven't that knew he was wrong.

A fair criticism. I think the majority of economists thought he was wrong. Individuals are FAR more prone to mistakes then groups.

You're a "progressive." That's why you believe human nature has changed. But it hasn't changed. We still have evil in the world. Look at Islam. Look at Russia (Putin). Look at Venezuela (run by a dictator) and also Cuba. How about Iran?

How can you possibly believe human nature has changed? Human nature does not change because some people think we are "nicer" than we used to be. We aren't.

That is the problem with "progressivism." It is based on a lie.
