Gross misinterpretation is probably a better description.

Workbook teaches kids that Second Amendment includes gun control | The Daily Caller
Quote:

"This amendment states that people have the right to certain weapons, providing that they register them and have not been in prison. The founding fathers included the amendment to prevent the United States from acting like the British who had tried to take weapons away from the colonists".
There is no mention of what weapons, registration or felons in the second amendment.

He reported the workbook to the head of the history department at the school, who explained that the description was written by teachers at the school some years ago. It predated Common Core, and would be re-evaluated given the concerns about its accuracy.
No surprise there. When people ask about examples of liberal policies being pushed in schools, there you go.

Yeah, it was probably pre-written in 2001........this is what is ahead from the left lies and more lies. Wonder why they have to re-evaluate something that shouldn't be there in the first place.

The way to change society is to start with the children.
They will accept what is told to them.

Most parents really have no clue what is being taught to their children.

Yep, an "Inconvenient Truth" being shown to millions of children in school was criminal.

Well, the British certainly would have thought that, and if they had won it would still be taught like that. If you consider terrorism as targeting noncombatants for a political goal, well then there you go.

Boxes of tea don't fight back so yes, they are non-combatants

You consider that a "violent act intended to create fear among the people" ?

If the merchants felt threatened. The hope was they would protest to the king. I'm just saying lots of historical figures could be considered terrorists depending on perspective. Menachem Begin even became Prime Minister.

And perspective today is any violent act seems to be deemed "terrorist actions".
The original meaning of terrorism no longer applies.

It's simply a bald faced lie! Period. As we all know, the Second Amendment doesn't say anything about registration, nor did it say, "certain weapons."

This is how the Left indoctrinates instead of educating. I wonder why the workbook didn't quote the Second Amendment, so the students could read it for themselves?
