The American public no longer cares about anything in the Middle East. You can look at CD as the litmus test over the past three years. Its extremely rare now to see an anti-Israel thread now compared to three years ago. The Arab Spring brought reality in and threw perceived reality out. Once in awhile we get a newbie who stirs the pot and gives us something to discuss that we've already discussed in the past.

It all comes down to if the Palestinians want it then fight for it. Using the excuse that the Israelis are better armed is lame. The Jews did it with much less people and much less arms in 1947 against Arabs from other countries who had tanks and airplanes. If they truly want it then man up and stop trying to get other countries to do their dirty work for them (like Hezbollah).

Another Rocket attack on Israeli civilians and another response to it. Can anyone guess what the UN response will be?

The Palestinians added SEVEN NEW DEMANDS today to their list of demands to resume talks basically ending the negotiations.

Written message from Netanyahu recognizing the 1967 armistice lines as Palestine’s borders, with East Jerusalem as its
Capital.

Release 1200 Palestinian prisoners, including Marwan Barghouti, Fuad Shubaki and Ahmad Saadat.

Lift the siege on Gaza.

Grant amnesty and bring back the Palestinians deported after the Church of the Nativity siege.

Stop settlement construction and institution building in occupied Jerusalem, and grant free access.

Allow 15,000 Palestinian reunification with families and grant them Israeli citizenship.

Give PA complete control over Area C, and stop military operations and arrests in Areas A and B.

Once more, Israel is a modern democracy, and likely could not resist the international pressure if the Palestinians pushed for citizenship.
My educated guess is that Israel will *unilaterally, if necessary) pull out of most of the West Bank before it allows this to happen.

Yeah, IMHO, the Palestinians overdid it here.

Either being quiet or finding something to criticize Israel for?

Yep, and this might explain why, based on what I see and know, some/many Israeli Jews have a (very) large distrust of the international community.
