You must not know many people who are self employed. Our insurance is only good through the end of this year because of Obamacare. The least expensive bronze plan for our family is $6000 a year MORE than what we pay now. We'll keep our current non-compliant plan as long as possible and pay the 1% penalty.

man, before obamacare we had a child and got billed 10K AFTER insurance. not sure why so many people think our mediocre healthcare system and our outrageous unregulated insurance system was so good before obama.

If you have employer-based health insurance my taxes have been helping to subsidize your insurance through all of the years, as someone who is self-employed, I couldn't afford to buy it on my own. You're welcome!
