By 2017 $10.10 will be worth less than $8.70 today. The biggest problem is that the minimum wage in real dollars has been falling for decades.

That is awesome, hopefully more states will follow. I imagine Washington and Oregon will be the next states to do something like this.

And the price of all of their goods, and their taxes will go up, just as it has every other time they raise the minimum wage...which leaves those on minimum wage exactly where they already were.

And then we lose even more jobs.

Yes, what a win.

Then how do you explain when those things go up even though minimum wage didn't go up? You are assuming minimum wage is somehow tied to the increase of goods and taxes, there are other factors that have a much greater effect.

How is a person supposed to raise a family on $10 an hour?

But it does factor in. You cannot say it has no effect on prices.
And most low wage workers make above min wage anyway.

Maybe in the 1950's it would have took one person to work in a household, but ever since we went off the Gold standard we've experience massive inflation.

If most low wage workers make above minimum wage now, then it would have little effect on prices.

You don't. You hold off until you can gain the skills required to command a higher wage. Not sure why so many think they're entitled to try to start a family when they cannot pay for it.
