O's next move will be to send troops into Syria. That's why he's running all over the world talking to leaders.
He can't send troops into Ukraine without risking nuclear war, so he'll settle for creating havoc with Putin's ally, Assad in Syria. He'll probably take Assad out.
When it happens, Russia will take eastern Ukraine.
I can't wait to hear the Bots defend the Syria war.
Nope. He just promised the King of SA that he'll send manpads to the Syrian rebels.
And we won't and shouldn't do a thing until Russia touches a NATO country. No one with a ounce of sense is going to risk a land war in Europe over Ukraine. It'll purely be economic until Putin tiptoes into the Balkans or steps towards Romania.
For some of our ideologues dead right is a viable option. I am not one of them. If the EU bankers are upset that Russia kicked them, with an invitation, out of the Crimea, that is the EU's banker's problem. NOT OURS!
I do think that is incorrect since Russia would not feel so threated by the Patriot Missile defence being deployed near their borders on EU NATO allied soil if it was not at least somewhat effective at shooting down ICBMs
President Obama holds the superior position, as usual
If President Obama is "doing nothing", then "doing nothing" is the BEST option.
Under this great President Obama, decisions are made after getting the facts first, getting the perspective from all sides even of those who oppose the President, and careful deliberation. The President is supremely intelligent, poised, patient, effective, and has great resolve. This while tolerating Republicans in Congress who have been trying to chop off his head since he took office.
I say your concern and criticism is unwarranted and premature.
The thing is that US doesn't give a flying s... about a poor non NATO country like Ukraine. Neiter does the EU. But if Putin crosses the line over to a NATO country there will be serious consequences.

And So It Begins; Watch Obama Do Nothing.......Again
Nothing is what we're going to do. Because that is all we can do. Russia is not a pushover like Afghanistan. Then again, Afghanistan /wasn't/isn't a walk in the park either.
[and how is that going?]
