The troublesome fish currently known as Asian carp may get a new name in Minnesota over concern that the current one casts people from Asian cultures in a negative light.
"Asian carp actually describes two closely related fish, the bighead carp and silver carp"
May as well change the name of the bighead carp too as not to offend folks with big heads. It appears from reading that article one person whined. Legislature should have said shut the F up whiner.

I have a suggestion. The Asian Carp is doing very well in the Mississippi and all its tributaries. I suggest we call it Freedom Tuna or Chicken of the Mississippi. There is another fish that is quite good after its processed and its also taken up home in American waters. It needs to ditch the Snakehead name.
Minnesota Renames “Asian Carp” Because Asians Might Be Offended
Just when you think the P.C. nutjobs can’t go any further, they take another step into clowntown.
The Minnesota State Senate approved a measure Monday that would rename the Asian Carp because they felt it could be offensive to “Asian” people or portray them in a negative light.
They have officially re-named the Asian carp – because it’s from Asia, folks – to the “invasive carp.”
How on earth they think changing the actual name of an animal will somehow make a group of people feel better about themselves is beyond me.
