The House of Saud took over the country during or just after WW2 when the British influence collapsed. This family mob is and always has been nothing more then a criminal gang that sold other people's oil for protection from the other "legitimate" rulers of the peninsula. They are not out friends. They pretended to be friends of the Bush Family because the Bush's, and through them, the US, protected the Saudi wealth.

We are no longer all that willing to protect these criminals because we, and some of our big oil companies, no longer need their declining reserves. We are about to abandon them because they are going to be useless to us. They realize this and are frightened out of their turbans. TDB.

LOL..Obama is over there promising the King that we'll give manpads to the Syrian "freedom fighters" now.
This will be a first as the US has only dealt with small arms to countries.

Talking about a country far more oppressive than Iraq could ever dream of being.

We just conveniently don't talk about that.

This topic is foolish.
As long as the oil keeps flowing and money keeps exchanging hands, there will be no problems. It is all about the money.

Obama and Kerry went to SA to "kiss and make up" with the King.
Since we can't invade the country like SA wants we'll supply the rebels with more potent weapons.
That should make SA happy again.

Obama May Allow Air Defense Help for Syria Rebels - ABC News
The Obama administration is considering allowing shipments of new air defense systems to Syrian rebels, a U.S. official said Friday.

President Barack Obama's possible shift would likely be welcomed by Saudi Arabia, which has been pressing the White House to allow the man-portable air-defense systems, known as "manpads," into Syria. Obama arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday evening for meetings with King Abdullah.

Crappy excuse !!
Not a great analogy. Pearl Harbor was 75 years ago--9/11 was 10. Are you unaware of what happened between the US and Japan after the attack? We pretty much got our own back and left Japan so weakened militarily that they moved on to work on becoming economically productive. And oh yeah, we dropped that little bomb on them.

After OBL and his Saudi posse destroyed the WTC, the bin Ladens were graciously allowed to leave the country. Since then, I do not remember the Saudis even apologizing for producing terrorists who attacked the country. They've held us hostage for their oil. Why should we bend over backward to make them happy?

We seem to have forgotten what Armies are for. We should just use our Armies to destroy the Saudi Royal Family and steal the oil for our own petroleum companies. We may need (not so much anymore) Saudi oil but we do NOT need Saudi Royalty and never did.
