Should We Abolish he Federal Reserve?

If not please tell us why?

For those who are confused, misinformed, or don't know what the Federal Reserve is watch this video

If you ever watch a single video for the love of all you care about watch it..

In short a private bank that loans the Federal Government money, and prints and issues our money, since the 1913 Federal Reserve Act with violates Article 1 Section 8 of The Constitution "To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;" Because it took the power We The People gave the Federal Government and gave it to a Private Bank called by the deceptive name The "Federal" Reserve..

No.

In short because it provides some useful functions to an economy. And having it be independent is important as well.

That being said....it does need some auditing to prevent fraud, but not oversight directly. Its a fine line that has risks.

No, we need a central bank. It would be better if we had the old central bank back like Alexander Hamilton envisioned. The Fed provides vital functions to an economy. Sorry, boys, but you can't run an economy on gold anymore. That ship sailed when our economic output exceeded gold reserves

Its never been independent, it serves at the behest of whichever sitting administration.
All fiat currencies fail ( history proves this statement correct) and at the rate the fed is debasing ours, it may happen in my lifetime.

You are aware that the value of gold was sky rocket their for keeping up in relation to the the economic output., also would could use palladium, platinum and other metals as well.

Just like all economies cannot keep growing into perpetuity. All economies stagnate and fail at some point. Ours is no different. Just because we're America, doesn't mean we defy the laws of nature and physics. Switching to a gold based currency would wreck our economy faster than the nuclear bomb leveled Hiroshima

You seem to be making two seperate points the first of which has nothing to do with anything in my post.
Having a currency backed by a hard asset would stop the manipulation by the money changers.

The video is BS....I don't have to watch it. I'd rather be strapped to a chair and forced to listen to Nixon's "Checkers Speech" until I die.

That's why the video is BS.

The video is a

Straw Man

Your reasoning contains the straw man fallacy whenever you attribute an easily refuted position to your opponent, one that the opponent wouldn’t endorse, and then proceed to attack the easily refuted position (the straw man) believing you have undermined the opponent’s actual position. If the misrepresentation is on purpose, then the straw man fallacy is caused by lying.

...which is predicated on an

Equivocation

Equivocation is the illegitimate switching of the meaning of a term during the reasoning.

Just to name a few fallacies.

A lot of propaganda videos are predicated on Equivocation. The Federal Reserve does not print or coin money. That's no different than the idiotic propaganda video that equivocates wealth with wages/salaries, in a pathetic attempt to prove there is "Income Inequality" or "Wealth Disparity."

If it will calm your bowels down, we can rename it to the US Central Bank; or the Central Bank of the united States of America.

Personally, I prefer Sammy's Bank. Or Lady Liberty's Building and Loaning and Saving Bank.

Instead of watching useless videos, you out to be scoping out which Quonset Hut you want to live in.

Banking....

The main reason for the Central Bank was to finance wars. The fed is political.
End the fed. No Central Bank.
