Have it your way then and run Obamacare like Medicare: make people pay premiums for decades and only let them access health care benefits when they're age 65 or older.

Do we have a deal?

Doesn't look like majority support to me.

For: 41%
Against: 51.9%

The last 7 presidents have been elected by a smaller margin.

Yes but there are victims of Obamacare like poor pghquest who has his premiums driven up by 40% and his deductible jacked up to $12,750. And he has only until Jan 1, 2014 to see if the government sees him any mercy or if he can find another option.

How can you be so callous as to ignore his plight when you consider that he is but just one of millions who are suffering the ill effects of this dastardly law.

So you too place one person's money over the basic needs of others. Thanks for making your priorities clear.

Beyond that, don't be so quick to believe any personal claims made online. The reason why this thread exists is because of the inability of the right-wing to present a compelling case, specifically along moral lines, i.e., that the kind of thing pghquest claims actually results in deaths while ACA will be able to present examples where doctors can attest to how the level of coverage and resources their patients had available before ACA would have led to that patient's death, while under ACA they're able to afford to survive, and cite cases where poor people died who would perhaps have survived if ACA had been in force earlier. That money versus life dichotomy will always come down against the avaricious right-wing.

So your silly whining at the end is easily dismissed as you allowing yourself to be duped by an unproved claim, about something that may or may not even happen. Let pghquest present that scenario publicly, sitting next to someone who can present the pro-ACA scenario whereby their life is preserved instead of sacrificed, and see who's perspective gains reasonable concern on facts and merits rather than claims and innuendo. Only blind obsequiousness to the lords and masters of the right-wing would draw the conclusion you imply would be drawn.

A first-time plurality of 49 percent of Americans support Obamacare. While 48 percent still state opposition, the new poll marks the first time that more
favored rather than opposed ACA.

The survey also shows significant improvement from Nov. 2013, when the program’s registration site was still undergoing technical difficulties and
shortcomings, leading to disapproval of 57 percent.

I'm waiting for you to tell me why mandates keep getting delayed if the polls are so favorable of it.
