Since she's been in and out of the country since the cocaine use was revealed, I think it more likely that the issue has to do with her employment in the United States as a judge on The Taste, and paperwork/visa issues having to do with that employment and the subsequent taxes due in the United States stemming from that employment.
We must recall that John Lennon and Paul McCartney were both denied entrance to the USA at one point (each separately). I imagine that they each followed the course of action depicted in the article (need to get a visa, with doctor stating the person is not addicted to drugs, etc).

The Daily Mail (which is, let's be clear, not the most reliable of news sources) is reporting that the domestic goddess was denied a seat on a plane because of her admission during an unrelated court case in the U.K. last year that she had done cocaine seven times and smoked some weed.
Technically, U.S. law declares foreigners who have committed drug offenses "inadmissible" to the country, even if—as in Lawson's case—they never faced any legal proceedings at home or abroad.
She was denied ESTA under the visa waiver program.
She can get around that by applying for a Visa. That is if a CBP officer at the airport doesn't cancel it and ships her back to the UK for admitted drug use.
I was hopeful when I read the headline that Nigella had also done something in a bathhouse, but apparently not.
It is a cruel irony when Obama's hideous illegal immigrant Aunti Zetuni is allowed to feed like a pig at the taxpayer trough here in the US and Nigella -- who actually has employable skills -- is denied entry into this country over a court confession.
