did you ever fight in a real war? I mean stationed where real war is going on and were there.

Yep. I wanna know everything. I want every bit of information available about actions taken in the name of my country. I'm not interested in secrets and heavily redacted documents.
I'm not one of those people to stick my fingers in my ears. Ignorance isn't bliss for me. The more I know, the better I feel.
I have no interest in protecting government agencies from the consequences of their actions.
And no, I was not in a war zone although I was in the Army. Don't feel like I missed much.

Every time, somebody decided to be a drama queen, somebody else got hurt.
Some would argue that our involvement in torture makes us look terrible in the eyes of the world and our enemies. That's one of the reasons why we aren't supposed to do it, not why we're supposed to hide it after the fact.
Everybody and their dogs already hate America, so what is the point of this report? want to learn anything about torture and waterboarding, why not just googling it? There are a lot of videos on youtube. Not like the world does not know we used waterboarding on these prisoners.
Reports or investigations don't have to be accurate or right. Terrorists will take advantage of the news. The ISIL propaganda operations will -- this is the motherlode for them.
True. The only people who love this more than the people bringing this to the forefront (people in our Senate) is our enemy. Maybe Pelosi and her pals should concentrate on the collateral damage (Innocent children destroyed) that the current adiminstration's cruise missile attacks have caused.
This^^ There are a whole lot of posters here who seem proud of the U.S. for its use of torture. It's even been suggested that using torture makes us the good guys. They should be reveling in the prospect of showing the world how bad-ass the "good guys" are.
I applaud the release of this report before it can be buried forever by the party about to take control of the Senate. We have a right to know what has been done in our name.
Exactly. If torture is so virtuous and good (as many are postulating here), the why aren't they standing up and applauding the release of this information?
All of you pro-torture myrmidons should be throwing parades at this report's findings.

you should seriously read some books, and or watch some science, discovery, history channel, or nat geo shows on TV....
it isn't at all political, but, they are trying to wake people up....and people need to seriously wake up b/c if they don't, it's going to be awful.

So what? Everything in Washington is about politics. Why should this be different?

SMH...were you ever even in the military? Because if you weren't, you've got some nerve.
Forget the books and tv...I know enough. You should read books about ethical behavior in war.
Again, if you're proud of our actions, why not be proud of this memo?

Diane Feinstein spent 5 years and $50 million compiling this one sided report, so if money and hearings upset you, you need to point some of that outrage at your precious Dems.

well, I can only speak for myself anyway. I am no politician, and I sure am not interested in politics. I also know that NOBODY here can change what has happened. NOBODY can.
What I do care is people overseas. Stupid or not, ignorant or not, patriotic or not, they are over there. Some of these people joined the military and became combat soldiers or Marines. Their lives mean nothing? Their lives mean something to me.
Bring them home, release whatever you want to release.
