Maybe she didn't make the best decision but, come on, If someone is trying to NOT get aid & is trying to help better themselves & their children, shouldn't we give them a hand up?
its people like her aid was designed for.. I want people in her situation to reach out for help, not those who abuse the system and live off it..
Do we know, for a fact, that she wouldn't still get some kind of aid? How are people coming up with all of these conclusions? Is there an article that states all of this, or are people assuming things? I'm genuinely asking, as I've been asking since this story first came out, where is the proof?
Your right, I don't know if she gets aid. If she does, the fact that she was trying to get a job & better herself is all the more reason for her to receive help.

So if she does get aid & is trying to get a job isn't that proof that there are those who don't want to receive welfare?
According to many people (& you can read the posts on here from these folk) she is a 'leech' & they do not want their tax dollars going to help w food stamps or any aid at all.
If she couldn't find someone to watch her kids for 45 minutes during the interview, what was she going to do with the kids if she got the job? No pay check for the first 2-3 weeks. Was she going to leave them in the car while she was working?

Given the alternatives
1) Collecting welfare and aid to find a home
or
2) Endangering ones children by leaving them in a car unsupervised
I pick 1, no questions about it.. and I'm one of the biggest anti welfare individuals out there..

Dont be ridiculous.. we dont object to people who take welfare and use it as a stepping stone or need it. To even compare her to those who live off of these programs is insulting.

and how does leaving her children with complete strangers, i.e. in a car all alone expecting anyone who comes along to take care of them, help with babysitting?
