I hate to tell everyone but we're at war. There are those who want to destroy us...
Should we be nice and play fair with people who want to destroy our country?
Is everything our CIA does the business of everyone in America and the world?

They've made their mission very clear with many public declarations since 9/11.
What do we OWE them?

No. Enron is an example of Corporate GREED.
It has nothing to do with National Security.

I agree Aksarben, and evidence is exactly what it was they destroyed.
According to the NY times:
Officials acknowledged on Friday that the destruction of evidence like videotaped interrogations could raise questions about whether the Central Intelligence Agency was seeking to hide evidence of coercion.
But the destruction of the tapes in 2005 appeared to reflect what former and current intelligence officials have described as longstanding worries about the legality of its interrogation practices and the possible legal jeopardy for any employees who engaged in the program and the managers who supervised them.

What kind of lunatic would support this type of behavior from their government. People must think we are living in 1939 Germany or 1959 Soviet Union, or wish we were.

Need an answer? Torture works the best. We have chemicals in the arsenal, let's gas those dang insurgents! After we're done with that maybe we can get some volunteers for a government sponsored suicide bomber program, if we're really lucky maybe we can find some pilots to fly planes into buildings.
Think about it, let's lower our standards to those of others.
As an added benefit it'll certainly solve our illegal immigration problem, no one will want to come here anymore.
Sounds like a plan

It does tend to muddy the waters when Bush goes off about the EvilDoers in the world...especially after his emphatic and inspiring "We Do Not Torture People" speech.
This is the United States of America, for God's Sake. Torture? You think we are radical Koran reading jihadists or something?
The Bible says something about rending unti Caesar, but if it approves of torture I would love to read that passage. Anybody have a clever interpretation they would like to share with us?

Actually, al Qaeda declared war against the US (and its western allies and Saudi Arabia) in February 1998. What we owe al Qaeda is a quick death.

You're absolutely correct.
Al Quaeda declared war on us and have made it very clear that they're not done....
The only SPIN on that is that of their leader.

AlQeada declared war on Sadui Arabia. Heck they were all from Saudi Arabia. As are the majority of foreign alqaeda fighting our troops in Iraq today.
Saudis can say they are not sponsoring them, but it sure does not look like they are cracking down all that hard.
We are getting totally played by our Middle Eastern "Allies".
