This had no value, and is just a waste of funds we could use in other areas...
Has no value or has no value to you? I didn't realize science needed to have a specific value before it could be conducted. You are aware of the amount of things we have discovered through science that we didn't know existed before studies which means we were unaware of that value before any study.
What you might see as a waste of money is more than likely a key to a larger puzzle of information.

Hey I love technology, I never said other wise.
I fully support NASA, so much so I want to fund it with more funding and fundind that would be wasted on foreign aid .
