I don't agree with them, but they should be allowed to live their lives while Christians act more like Jesus with love and compassion.
Fundamentalist loons are actively repelling people from Christianity. Their hate and vitriol toward anyone that disagrees, is different, or doesn't shut up and march lockstep with their beliefs without question is disgusting. As Christians we need to stand up and point out these actions of the radical and extreme elements are from people who need help, and don't represent Christians or our faith.
The more people scream and hate towards others, the less we as Christians follow Christ and the more people we drive from his word. Frankly if I was Christ I wouldn't want these loons representing me on Earth and repelling others from the word. I would rather have some one who lives a good life no matter their beliefs that a nasty vile little toad that claims to be Christian.
I didnt realize there was a Statute of Limitations on disgusting displays of religious fervor...particularly when they insult a man of true character who sacrificed his life for a country that didn't deserve such a sacrifice from this caliber of man.
Well, the Colonel has his right to that opinion. But he should've been more taciturn about it. He certainly shouldn't have printed something so stupid.
I feel terrible for Pat as a fellow ASU guy. But at the time he enlisted, he really believed in what he was doing.
It was covered up like many other things. The Army even destroyed Pat's personal journal.
