The area is Mormon, rural and quite conservative.

Mesquite would be more mixed...though still somewhat conservative by local standards.

Las Vegas News Video - 8 News NOW

Right - interviews from residents - involved Democrats - that are uninformed about the entire situation. You obviously do not know the real issue either as instead of researching the net - you're taking what is presented to you by the liberal media. Cripes - Fox news hasn't even done it's research.

If you want to be informed and discuss the issues - research the issues and quit basing your arguments on what the media says.

It never ceases to amaze me that liberals despise gun toting people but would be the first to have their arses behind one of those gun toters if the sh*t hit the fan, and are fine to have their right to Freedom of Speech, upheld by the gun toting military.

The area may be Morman but the residents interviewed were described as involved Democrats.

I know some of his neighbors. He is not locally popular. There is a lot of resentment of the tortoise thing but it does not extend to supporting Bundy. His primary support is out of Utah...not rural Nevada.

Check the license plates on the horse trailers...

Do your research on this thread! You will find that I read and posted the court documents, the treaty of Guadalupe, and the Nevada state agreement with the United States regarding land management!!

If you want to be informed, start by reading those documents before giving empty accusations.

Read post #435 on this thread, with the supplied links given there, and then get back to me!

Reid tells News4's Samantha Boatman his take on the so-called cattle battle in southern Las Vegas. "Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.

Speaks volumes!

It is an hour and a ½ from the Vegas city limits.

Reid is fixing to get pulled through the ringer over this.
