Let's say that hypothetically it had been white people who were treated as second class citizens with restrictions on voting, schooling, public restrooms, restaurants, public transportation, criminal justice system, etc. before a civil rights era.

Even if their poverty and/or crime level was lower back prior to civil rights, would any honest white person on here accept the argument that: "you were statistically less likely to be poor and/or a victim/participant of crime prior to civil rights, so it would be better for you to surrender your personal freedoms and go back to those times?"

I didn't think so.

That should tell you how insipid and unjust this suggestion is.

The key is to find ways to make things better today, moving forward; not to engage in nostalgia for a past era of oppression.

In a lot of ways, without even watching the video, I think he would be right. We might have more material things at this point in time, but QofL in many communities, the strength of families, unity, etc were probably better back then.

The drug epidemics hit our community especially hard. We weren't responsible for bringing drugs into this country, but they were often forced, by outlaws and our government, into certain communities many of them being minority.

Couple that with the response to the drug epidemic with the 'Drug War' and you have thousands of black men murdered every year in the illegal drug trade.

You also still have the wealth disparities, except this time there is less of a community to address the specific ills of the community and a much weaker economy. You have all races struggling to make ends meet in the current economy.

You have profiling, stop and frisk and other illegal and immoral practices being used against you whether your a 9-5 guy, pastor, or gang member (they always assume the last). Thousands being locked up for marijuana (to help you deal with all that stress). Etc. Etc.

But with that all said. I love being a black man. Thank you GOD for this life.

SOME of us "white" people DID have to deal with a kind of "Jim Crow" not too long ago. Jews till 1948 were NOT allowed to live in "WASP" areas, the history of my people, the "Irish" is pretty well known and word is many people of East European family also had to deal with "racism". Hell; even Armenians and Arabs, still "white", caught BS too.

The difference in 2014 is we're ALL now "anglo white". Things changed and most of us whose families got shafted back then don't whine about it.

Is reverend Manning really a credible source?

“Starbucks is a place where these types (sodomites) frequent and a lot of body fluids are exchanged there ... The thing that I was not aware of is that what Starbucks was doing, is they were taking specimens of male semen, and they were putting it in the blends of their lattes. This is the absolute truth ... They’re using male semen, and putting it into the blends of coffees that they sell ... My suspicion is that they’re getting their semen from sodomites ... Semen flavors up the coffee, and it makes you thinks you’re having a good time.”

probably true

Blacks need to become politically relevant and get out from underneath the thumb of the democrats. When a group votes nearly 100% democrat, REGARDLESS OF PERFORMANCE, that group is no longer relevant.

Make politicians work for your vote.

This is the same person claiming he doesn't want to be a Black man. That is enough for me to consider that his motives are anti-Black.
