I was so very lucky as a youth.

I spent the summers talking to one of the men that did Sam Walton's taxes.

That is when I learned.

Huge amounts of money can be made as long as at the end on the year you reduce your INCOME.....not your bankbook.
Obama and democrats know his followers don't understand the tax code which is why he lied about who he was raising taxes on and got away with it. The sad part is they actually think they got the rich lol. If they would stop being so determined to defend Obama they might actually learn how they are being played for fools... opps, they are fools.

Obama filed a loss in 2013.

Yeah, the conversion is the rub. I could leave all my dough in my business and never pay a cent beyond payroll taxes on it, but I have to eat, and my company does not.

Many full time working Americans only make $16,000 a year. They have bills to pay, and they would (not) be able to survive if they had to pay federal taxes.

Rent $700 per month= $8,400 per month.
Electricity $120 a month= $1,400 per year.
Phone service $30 a month= $360 per year.
Internet $30 a month= $360 per year.

Car Insurance $100 per month,= $1,200 per year.
Gasoline $100 per month= $1,200 per year.
Car maintenance= $300 per year.

Groceries $150 per week= $1,800 per year.
Clothes= $300 per year.

Entertainment, eating out, hobbies, beer= $500 per year
Christmas,birthday gifts= $150 per year.
Unexpected expenses= $250 per year.
Girlfriend/dating= $250 per year.

Total= $16,070.

These full time working Americans living expenses are greater than their salary, that's why they get tax refunds.

And occasionally they have added expenses like purchasing a new car, ex.ex. that's why they really need their tax refunds.

Doncha know, a lot of people believe that those who work for minimum wage should not even THINK about entertainment or dating. Some of them are even the same people who lament the decline of marriage.

??? I thought Medicaid has asset limits; we've all heard of older people who have to "spend down" their assets to qualify for Medicaid when they go into a nursing home.

Someone earning only $16,000 a year SHOULD NOT be living in a situation with the above costs. Get roommates. Reduce expenses. Basic common sense.

No wonder the working poor have such a hard time climbing their way out of low-level incomes. They make HORRIBLE decisions.

Stupid poors should live ten to a studio and cook their food without electricity. And why do they need an internet or phone, if they want those luxuries they should get a better job, by walking down the street looking for a shop with a Help Wanted sign in the window.

ACA changed that under the expansion.

I wanted to sign up and get Medicaid........hubby would not do it......he thought it would be embarrassing.

Now, he knows some of his friends did.....maybe next year.
