Timbuktu is in Mali, a former French colony.

They have a vested interest in exerting influence there and in other Central African nations that they once owned.

Obama has launched so many revolutions and not a single one survives or works. Others are caught up in endless fight.

Not that Bush was that successful in nation building.

I don't think he does it on purpose. It just happens by accident, like the metaphor of the matches.

Won their freedom? From who, do you mean from Germany in WWII?

Unlike Iraq though Russians are familiar with Ukraine, which proves my point that they know their reasons.
Not like most Russians feel comfortable criticizing their own government.

Some of the best travel deals this summer are cruises that include an overnight in Russia. So many of those who did not cancel their cruise have no intention of getting off the ship. This is not good for the Russian economy.

The exact same way you can oppose the communists and not oppose the Russian people.

80%?? Are you serious? Don't try and tell me that if a Democrat ever got 80% here you wouldn't be screaming voter fraud. We're talking about a dictator here, who the hell do you think is going to win?
