Settle the place with your people, seek independence and then quickly annexation. It works every time.

If Ukraine dident want independence from Russia then they wouldent have voted for it in 1991. Even the Crimea voted by 55% to become independent. Even Sevastopol City voted in favor.

The United States did not invade Texas. People living in Texas revolted against Mexico, overthrew the Mexicans, became an independent nation, and then voted for annexation into the United States. In Crimea the Russians went in and held a sham referendum at gunpoint using busloads of Russians brought in across the border to rig the vote in their favor.

If the US continues down it's current path, we Texans might want to join Russia also.

Or maybe Sweden who has prettier women.

I hadn't thought of it this way Guess, the same could be done in California. The plan has always been for Mexico to take land back without firing a bullet........could this be the lan before Obama leaves office. Don't think he would be tough enough to stop this either......

Seems this would lie on the laps of the Dems, since they're the ones allowing illegals and dogs to vote!

A recent check by the Texas Secretary of State’s office indicates that 600,000 registered voters do not have a valid driver’s license or state issued identification card.
A study by a DOJ expert produced a long list of Texans who lacked government-issued photo ID and, it was alleged, were thereby disenfranchised. The list and the study were a fraud.

The list turned out to contain the names of 50,000 dead people, 330,377 seniors who can vote by mail without ID, 261,887 voters who included a driver’s license number on their voter registration form, 800,000 Texans who were, in fact, registered to vote and who did have a government issued photo ID.

The list also contained the names of Texans with U.S. military ID (acceptable for photo ID to vote), former Texas residents who had moved to other states, disabled voters who were exempt from the Texas photo ID law and noncitizens.

Sure, it is. Assuming you're someone who doesn't think the world has evolved or gone through quite a bit of growth since the 1800s, when colonialism and land grabs were in full swing.

You might recall that sometime in the last century there were some major wars fought, and people decided that land grabs in smaller countries by larger countries should not be allowed. Remember that?

These comparisons to what was done in the past that was *once considered OK* which is now *not considered OK* would prevent the United States from speaking out against, say, modern day documented slavery in parts of Africa, India and the Middle East because, "America had slavery once too!!!!!"

How do you know that? Have you been to Crimea during this "sham referendum" and personally saw these gunpoints with your own eyes? If no, then you are spreading lowdown outrageous lie.
Crimean citizens were more than just happy to reunite with Russia. And they don't have to be forced to vote for that.
Just see these happy, cheerful and joyful faces that celebrating the outcome of the referendum for yourself.
