Yeehaw!
Incorrect. Buy an island where outsiders be treated with etc etc. Why should native people suffer for the well being of others? South Americans, Africans, or Asians are wise enough to not practice these foolish ideas. Current day America sacrifices excellence for equality.

Affirming and promoting the worth and dignity of others to live their lives in accordance with their own beliefs and values, within their own skins, within their own families, and within their own worship, does not cause "suffering". That which you are referring to as "suffering" is that which morally-deficient people inflict on themselves in refusing to respect other human beings as they would expect to be afforded respect by others. It is "suffering" they cause within themselves by violating the ethic of reciprocity, "the Golden Rule". The turpitude you are trying to claim exemption for is worthy only of repudiation, not deference.

What does inter-racial have to do with the topic under discussion?
Because the USSC will, within a decade, declare, just like they did with interracial marriage, laws against gay marriage unconstitutional. Marriage is a fundamental right. Read this USSC decision.

“The federal statute is invalid, for no legitimate purpose overcomes the purpose and effect to disparage and injure those whom the state, by its marriage laws, sought to protect in personhood and dignity,” Justice Kennedy wrote. “By seeking to displace this protection and treating those persons as living in marriages less respected than others, the federal statute is in violation of the Fifth Amendment.”

He said the law was motivated by a desire to harm gay and lesbian couples and their families, demeaning the “moral and sexual choices” of such couples and humiliating “tens of thousands of children now being raised by same-sex couples.”

Great! I take it your post means you'll no longer badger straight Christians. You'll no longer be a hater of those who don't live your beliefs and values.

Good to know!

Thanks so much.

Not very familiar with US history, I see. From the forced deportation of latinos from conquered territories, to the detainment of Japanese Americans, to laws in the south forbidding black people to leave, to "Whites only" housing documents! white Americans have actually been very fond of forcing others to live in particular areas.

In any event, this is a bizarre question. The obvious answer is "I'd prefer not to be treated like crap", and that's really all there is to it. In the case of straight white people who are obsessed with equality, well, they're kind people, and that's all it takes.

The real question is, what on earth is wrong with people who push inequality? From the people who rioted when a black person moved into the neighborhood or attended their college, to Rush Limbaugh shrieking about Sandra Fluke because she pointed out that birth control pills can control Ovarian Cysts, to the creeps that travelled to Africa to advocate for legal penalties for LGBT folks, what is up with their obsession with other people's skin color, medication, or sexual preference?

Actually, I am pretty much of a jerk but a strong believer in the Constitution which guarantees the right of gay marriage (or at least soon will).

What is the obsession over inequality?

Sure you you. Make yourself feel good saying all these right things.

But how are you going to react when you see 2 young minority thugs (wearing usually thug outfits with pants hanging low) behind you. As you walk our to your new $100k Range Rover in at New Jersey mall at night 3 days before Christmas. Knowing full well another New Jersey male lost his life to similar thugs a few days earlier.

You tell me you aren't going to racial profile and discriminate if you see these guys behind you as you walk to your car?

It doesn't matter if 90% of these guys are harmless. But there's a chance. And a greater probability these guys are going to jack you.

So tell me you won't discriminate? Think. We all are guilty of discriminating. You can justify yourself by saying everyone needs to be safe. It could be white guys in preppy outfits who could jack your car. Sure keep telling yourself that.

The laws in the United States of America are changing to protect its citizens because of people such as yourself.

The more your own personal fears drive you to descriminate against others, the more laws are created to protect them.

It is people like you whom drive the need to protect others. You only have yourself to blame.

but it doesn't have anything to do with discrimination, gay or minority, there haven't been any discrimination since mid seventy , its al have to do with wanting something extra. Im gay I want this that. Im minority you owe me, it seems like it all being pushed by the media hores and hollywood. if they couldn't make money on it, it would not be an issue.

as far as marriage of gay, I have no problem with it, but its not the government, its the church. get the church to go along and government do what ever they say. with marriage, church comes first
