Bush also pretends to read lots of big books..with no pictures...

Based on his pronunication of words off the teleprompter, I am skeptical. Plus somebody figured out this would be at least 3 hours a day of reading, if he is a good reader. If true, I am thinking that those three hours might be better spent on foreign and domestic policy.

Interesting nobody yet can provide a single concrete example to answer the OP question.

[President George W. Bush] has entered a book-reading competition with Karl Rove, his political adviser. White House aides say the president has read 60 books so far this year (while the brainy Rove, to Bush’s competitive delight, has racked up only 50).

Not at all. Jesus had certain philosophies. Bush, said that Jesus is his favorite philosopher, but I wonder if Bush knows any of those philosophies and applies them. Or is it just a matter of tactical name dropping?

I think SOMEONE missed the part about loving your neighbor and turning the other cheek.

Someone maybe, but not President Bush. He has always been more than willing to forgive those that have wronged him, such as former Pres. Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi et. al. His father even paired up w/Ole Bill, and that would never have happened if Pres. Bush had not been OK with it.

Yeah, like the two of them are so close. Poppy had to come up with the Baker-Hamilton Commission in one last attempt to give Junior a graceful way out of his blunder into Iraq, and what did W do? Thumbed his nose at the whole exercise...

How was Bush "wronged" by these people? Specifics would certainly help.

Only a hypocrite could reconcile a belief in the teachings of Jesus with the waging of a pre-emptive war that has killed and maimed thousands of Americans and Iraqis as well as destroying a once viable country.

Bush is the President, not a clergyman. Many Presidents have waged war; many were Christians. There is nothing hypocritical about making the sobering decisions which come with assuming the office of the Presidency.

Or would you prefer to live in a theocracy?

What has Bush done that he could attribute to the philosophy of Jesus?
Not one damn thing.
