Am i the only one who read the links and watched the videos ?
the 2 articles and the OP reconstructed his quotes to make them seem like they were part of a string of comments made about the ACA and its effect on Democrats chances in 2014, when in reality those quotes are from 4 different subjects from a 45 minute Radio interview.
Yeah, sure, let's do something. Some day. Maybe. If the Republicans ever got around to it... People got tired of waiting, and until the Democrats brought the issue to the fore, the GOP made it very clear they had zero interest in this issue.
WOW...so when the dems controlled the house and senate, what did they do? GO ahead, I'll wait for an answer...

(2) Obama is already charged with the Biggest Lie of 2013 (and possibly the 5 years).
(3) If/when it is reported that health insurance companies are getting a bailout later this year due to the ACA, you will see many folks be very upset about the law.
(4) Even today, the majority of Americans oppose the ACA, even with 8 million website signups.
(5) As ruled by the Supreme Court, the ACA imposes a new tax onto the American people, and one that is more recessive since it hits the people who cannot likely afford health insurance.
1. Your argument is the " Why are you hitting yourself" argument.
There are delays because Republicans have publicly advocated to businesses owners to not prepare for it. Are you surprised people listened to them, or that President Obama does not want to put penalties on companies that chose to listen to their elective representatives promises ?
2. For something to be a lie, it has to be a falsehood, meaning the person has to intentionally do it. So, no he didnt lie.
3. You are basing your argument on an "if" ????
4. The majority of Americans oppose the ACA for different reasons though. May of them oppose it because they want single payer. Thats not the same as someone who wants to go back to the status quo.
5. The ACA ruling said that the mandate penalty was a tax, and it was one congress is allowed to make. They were ruling on the entire law, just the mandate. and seeing as there are income limits for that mandate and health insurance cost, it completely negates the argument you are trying to make about hurting those who need it the most.
They passed the ACA, thats the entire premise of this debate.
You are clearly arguing in this comment that they did nothing, but the very thing you are discussing is what they did.
Regardless of if you like the ACA or not, it does exist and it means the democrats did something.
Yep, after obama was there, why did they not do it when the held the house and senate, prior to that?
And BTW, obama stated very clearly that all Americans would be covered under his plan....how's that working out for ya...

"My plan begins by covering every American. If you already have health insurance, the only thing that will change for you under this plan is that the amount of money you will spend on premiums will be less," Obama said. "If you are one of 45 million Americans who don't have health insurance, you will after this plan becomes law."
Yep, after obama was there, why did they not do it when the held the house and senate, prior to that?
They tried. Look up the Health Security Act of 1993. When did the GOP ever try?

Did you think everyone was going to get covered in the first enrollment period? That's pretty unrealistic, especially with all of the misinformation that was willfully put out by the opposition. But as more and more people realize the ACA isn't nothing like the horror that the Conservatives tried to paint it as, the numbers will grow.
Ultimately, this is going to prove to be a losing issue for the GOP. Even Senator Cruz knew it, which is why he tried so hard to stop it. He knew once it was in place, it was game over for the GOP.
I sincerely hope that the GOP runs on repealing the ACA. They have nothing to replace it with, so basically they will be running on a platform that calls for taking health insurance away from millions of newly insured Americans and leaving them with nothing once again. That should be a winning stance.
I've got my popcorn ready, too.
That's the whole point. Our old system was superior to Obamacare, despite its negative attributes.

Yep, and it did not pass and they even owned the house in senate back then...how dare them not care about the people...

It was mandatory, unless you want to pay the fine....
