Illinois Dems back off $100 million push for Obama library following outrage | Fox News

LOL Chicago politics at its best(worst). I tell ya, the term Chicago style-politics is no fairy tale. And oh how fitting that Obama hails from there, politically. And more importantly, how fitting would it have been for the Obama Presidential Library to be funded by the tax payer.

LOL You just cant make this stuff up.

I say, let every damn liberal hack who still supports Obama give their "hard earned" money to this cause. Hell, force it from their hands. Take it from them to build this thing.

Looks like same old Fox News, put a completely different over exaggeration title to a thread that has nothing much to do with it.

Its actually worse than what the title shows if you read the article given that they tried to use votes that shouldn't of counted.

But if Fox News isnt good enough for you:

Illinois lawmakers squabble over funding for Obama library - CBS News

Why Chicago's bid for an Obama Library could be a problem for the president (+video) - CSMonitor.com

Illinois can't afford $100M to lure Obama library to Chicago, GOP leader Durkin says

Controversy erupts over $100 mil. for Obama library - Chicago Sun-Times

I see we have to useless posts by two Obamanites. Im sure you two will gladly donate or cheerfully have money forced from your hands for The One's library.

I did read the article, which is why I made the comment about the title, which was an untrue title.

Sounds like the portion of the state legislature that voted to spend $100,000 the state did not get the memo. The Presidential Libraries Act of 1986 mandates private endowments be used to build such libraries/ museums and federal dollars to maintain it, forever.

The fed spends $75 million a year maintaining the 13 existing presidential libraries.

^^

God forbid this countries politicians are knowledgeable about this countries laws...

As I've said before this countries politicians are nothing more than blood suckers and we are their victims.

As long as we keep bickering and sniping at each other over Democrat vs Republican we are a doomed country.

This one I am not so sure about, I remember reading not that long ago that the Bush Library in Texas was paid by private endowments and maintained by Texas tax dollars, though I am not sure if that library also gets federal dollars to maintain it.

I, for one, am ashamed of today's crop of Illinois Democrats - 5 warm bodies should have at least produced a 10-0 vote.
