Some --perhaps enough to decide an election-- will always choose to stay ignorant. Remember that the WMDs were never found in Iraq and yet Bush was reelected.

I have never in all my life seen such poor links, there isn't one credible website or news source among them. If you want to believe in some EU Conspiracy that's up to you, the EU does not have a military HQ and as another poster pointed out is enduring a period of austerity, with problems of it's own.

In terms of the US, I seriously doubt the US spent $5 Billion on subversion in Ukraine at a time when it is looking to cut back on military bases in Europe due to cost expenditure and the people you mention such as McCain have nothing to do with the current Obama Administration.

The struggle to downsize EUCOM - News - Stripes

I would also like to know what the US would gain from such actions???

Sorry but logic escapes the government bureaucrats that spend unlimited taxpayer money.

Who'd think they'd spend 150$$ of taxpayer money a gal for 'green jet fuel' instead of 2.00$+/gal on petro based jet fuel.

That aside, EU is self emasculated and on permanent disability which provides them with a deferment from taking an active role in any neighborhood crises. the most EU will ever do is to set up a meeting in Brussels sometime in the Fall and generate neutered rhetoric, have a nice meal and go home fully satisfied they did all they could.

The problem with the EU is being part of NATO. They are the tail of the lion now.

Yes, otherwise they live better than Americans and have higher expectations of life. So much that the right in Europe is to the left of the Democratic Party.

I don't know how the US will gain from it but it's not about democracy and freedom.
