I don't think even you would want that. Do you know what Sharia is?

Secondly, our laws should not be interpreted with deference to the laws of any other nations, international law, or other religious law (Sharia). Period.

In what Utopia do you live?

Do you honestly believe that if a child is not told "no" and is not taught right from wrong, that they will figure it out on their own?
Are you saying a child cannot be taught right from wrong without instilling the fear of a punitive god ready to punish them if they are bad? See, I was perfectly able to teach my kids to love one another and treat each other as they wanted to be treated, to not lie or steal or kill anyone, without threats and fear. I'm sorry that you are not able to do that as well.

You tell me. Hitler professed to be a Christian. (Ouch!)

Oh, you don't really want to go down that path of how "good" Christians have always behaved in the past towards those who didn't abide by their religion, now do you? (Hint: Look up the Crusades.)

What "ignorance" do you refer to? That they wish to have politicians and judges that will uphold the Constitution? That "ignorance?" We realize that the Democrats have no respect for the Constitution or the founders ideas of Liberty and "natural rights." They are "Progressives."

If I hadn't read the Bible I might be persuaded that same sex marriage is right.

I don't think you read the linked article, because it has nothing to do with "institutionalizing Christianity" and everything to do with upholding the Constitution.

Are you seriously claiming that only Christians have a moral compass and that it's impossible to have one without Christianity?

So if your 12 year old first cousin really wants you to have sex with them, no harm done, right?

Anyone schooled in history knows Hitler proclaimed this to gain power... only to destroy churches and practice in the occult later.

As to the rest, sure, go dig back 700 years and ignore the realities of today.

Just... keep... reaching...

Hitler called himself a Christian and was a true believer. He believed he was "doing the work of the Almighty." Educate yourself instead of trying to rewrite history.

List of Hitler quotes — he was quite the vocal Catholic – Pharyngula

The poster I was responding to was quoting Mohammad. Learn to read in context.

I'm plenty educated on the topic both scholarly and personally, as my grandparents lived in Central Europe at the time and were persecuted (as Christians) and almost murdered under Hitler, dear.

You are wrong in implying he was any kind of actual Christian as an adult. If you removed your biased filter, you might see.
