And no, we liberals do not fear Ms. Palin. We instead love to hold her out to moderates, centrists and independents as the shining light of what our opposition represents -- historical, scientific and economic ignorance; extremism; and know-nothingness.
Speaking for conservatives when you don't know what you're talking about, yet again. Since it's the progressive policies which have ruined our economy I guess the best thing to do is make things up in order to deflect from the truth.

You also have to wonder how her ex--running mate, McCain--who was tortured, feels about her tasteless remark.
Waterboarding isn't torture. McCain was probably waterboarded in survival training, as that is part of what they undergo.

McCain experienced real torture. Waterboarding is nothing.

Palin is as popular today as ever. She doesn't make "dumb comments" as you assert. Nancy Pelosi makes dumb comments. Why don't you criticize her?

Most of what is attributed to Palin comes from late night comedy. Leftist think she really said those things ("I can see Russia from my house.") She didn't. But you believe it because you want to.

Sarah Palin is brilliant. She speaks from the heart, and doesn't need a teleprompter, like Obama does. She was raised in a very rugged environment. She knows how to shoot, she hunts, and knows how to handle herself. She is the definition of "rugged individualism." She is American through and through. I trust her more than any Democrat now in office, or running for office. They are all liars and cheats. Their words mean nothing. Their purpose is the destruction of our Constitution and our Representative Republic. They are all "progressives." That means they reject the founders ideas of government, and of "natural law" (Natural Rights). They think our rights are granted by government, not unalienable. They are "collectivists" and "central planners."

If you don't believe me, read, "The Road to Serfdom," by F.A. Hayek.

We all know that Socialist Dem are the smartest ones in the room?
Absolutely! Right on!

Funny thing--real Christians are very upset by what she said. Why don't you tell them to 'lighten up'?

Spoken like a true Conservative. I bet if you were waterboarded a few times you would think differently.

Palin needs no help on that front. It's not hard to ridicule the ridiculous. If anything, she makes it too easy.

Seems he feels otherwise.

I'm disappointed. Ask any military lawyer, ask any person who knows about the Geneva Conventions that we're signatories to. We actually prosecuted Japanese war criminals specifically for the act of waterboarding against Americans.

One, it doesn't work. If you put enough physical pain on somebody, they will tell you whatever they think that you want to hear in order to -- for the pain to stop.

And second of all, what about our moral standing in the world?

But the point is that waterboarding is a -- is a -- is an affront to all of the standards that we believe in and adhere to of humane treatment of people who are human beings.

If it would help my kids in a bad situation in the future....I would water-board my kids.

Please tell me you are kidding. The only thing she is brilliant at is self-promotion. If these aren't dumb comments made my a woman who thought she should be VP, I don't know what are and she actually said them:

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." --Sarah Palin botching the history of Paul Revere's midnight ride.

"[Paul Revere] did warn the British. And in a shout-out, gotcha-type of question that was asked of me, I answered candidly. And I know my American history." --Sarah Palin defending her botched Paul Revere history lesson.

"But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." --Sarah Palin, on the hostilities between the two Koreas.

"I haven't heard the president state that we're at war. That's why I too am not knowing -- do we use the term intervention? Do we use war? Do we use squirmish? What is it?" --Sarah Palin on the U.S. and NATO bombing of Libya.

"We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?" --Sarah Palin, admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system.

"All of 'em, any of 'em that have been in front of me over all these years." --Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads.

On her ethics investigation -- "I think on a national level your Department of Law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we've been charged with and automatically throw them out." -- referring to a non-existent department

When asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, she responded: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

"I didn't really had a good answer, as so often -- is me. But then somebody sent me the other day, Isaiah 49:16, and you need to go home and look it up. Before you look it up, I'll tell you what it says though. It says, hey, if it was good enough for God, scribbling on the palm of his hand, it's good enough for me, for us. He says, in that passage, 'I wrote your name on the palm of my hand to remember you,' and I'm like, 'Okay, I'm in good." Palin on writing notes on her hand.

"Who calls a shot like that? Who makes a decision like that? It's a disturbing trend." – pushing a conspiracy that "In God We Trust" had been moved to the edge of coins by the Obama administration (the change was made by the Bush administration in 2007 and was later reversed by Congress, before Obama took office)---Palin wrong again.

"What the federal government should have done is accept the assistance of foreign countries, of entrepreneurial Americans who have had solution that they wanted presented ... The Dutch and the Norwegians, they are known for dikes and for cleaning up water and for dealing with spills." Palin on the BP spill.

Yes, so brilliant that she STILL can't cobble together a coherent sentence, despite all those years chasing a "journalism degree."
Why use a teleprompter when you have a Sharpie and the palm of your hand?
