So the Ukraine will be swallowed up incrementally while Obama fiddles and does what he does best, be well-spoken and clean.
And this is our problem why? You are basically saying you want the US to go to war with Russia over the Ukraine for some reason. No thank you.

Because it makes sense. If the world perceives the US to be a country they can turn to when an armed incident flares up, it would enhance our standing in the world, especially standing up to a two bit dictator with delusions of empire. Means the US would be listened to as opposed to being laughed at as what is occurring right now. Putting a few troops and planes in eastern Europe does nothing. Europe is apathetic at best. Most of their GDP is tied up in socialism. They have enough munitions for 2 weeks and then they run out. So a Chamberlainesque view is preferable. Obviously no one learns from history since Putin has taken a page from history and is using it.

Right now, Obama is intent on destroying our foreign policy in favor of radically screwing Americans to reshape the US into his vision.

And I never said the US go to war with Russia. I said any and all support for the Ukraine short of putting US troops into the Ukraine.

Ah, so you want the US to use Ukraine to go to war with Russia. If we are doing everything except put troops on the ground to help Ukraine, what is stopping Russia from attacking the source, thus causing a war to start between the US and Russia?

Putin has delusions of an empire. Can't have an empire if you rule over smoking rubble. He may be crazy be he isn't stupid.

Never happen.

So we should destroy the Ukraine to prevent Putin from taking over the Ukraine? I am happy you are not in charge of this country.

Why, oh why are you assuming we are going to get into a shooting war with Russia?

So this is the last time I will respond to that ever present whine. I don't and will not advocate a shooting war with Russia. But I will support the Ukraine with anything else they need.

Got it?

Probably not.

If Putin's Russia establishes an Economic Empire in Eastern Europe it will eventually learn that, like we are in our Mid East debacle, they cannot afford it. Economic Empires create great wealth for the few at the top at the great expense in money and occasionally blood of the rest of us.

No way! History has proven that those who ask us for help turn on us eventually! The only people we can rely on (most of the time) are those we have bombed into the ground and rebuilt. (And maybe the Brits)...

As opposed to imaginary lines in the sand or sanctions against a half dozen people?

Laughable.
