Maybe I missed it because I only briefly skimmed through the five pages of this thread but it's pretty saddening to see that no one has caught on to the fact that climatology is very, very different from weather forecasting. One is the study of long term weather patterns over a geographic region. The other models certain immediate patterns in local regions to come up with a short-term probabilistic determination of what the weather will be like. A weatherman may be better equipped to understand some of the terminology and basic fundamentals of climate science but they are no more equipped to make a determination on climate science than a crop duster pilot could fly the space shuttle.

Human industry produces magical carbon dioxide, the sort that doesn't trap heat. Makes perfect sense.
