It would appear that gay couples care plenty what everyone else thinks.

Only the ones who control their fate. Otherwise, pffffft.

Where in the Bill of Rights do you find a "right to marriage?"
You should reread the Constitution. The fundamental rights are not listing in the Bill of Rights.

Businesses must follow the law of not discriminating against anyone, you cannot hide behind religion when being a bigot.

Why do you want to make gay couples second-class citizens? That's unAmerican.

As for your silly predictions, pfffft. Just because Christians have "forced themselves into every facet of society" doesn't mean everyone else is just as ignorant.
Then give them the legal benefits without redefining marriage. Oh but that's not good enough! Apparently the only way I can not be un-American is to give up my religious beliefs, and embrace their lifestyle as natural and normal.

You don't have to embrace anything, dear. You don't have to enter into a gay marriage, or attend a gay wedding. You can even spend all your time on anonymous Internet forums raving about how immoral it all is.

Just let them have the same legal rights that you have, and all will be well. I fail to see how allowing gays to have the same rights as you prevents you from preserving your faith. Or have I missed something? Does gay marriage cause your beliefs to disappear in a cloud of smoke? Prevent you from worshipping in the church of your choice? Reading your Bible? Make your straight marriage invalid?

I eagerly await your reply. Because not one single "Christian" has been able to answer this question on this forum, ever.

How would a same sex marriage redefine your own definition of marriage? You won't be forced to have a gay marriage just because it is legal. Heck, I am sure there are plenty of people out there that still don't accept interracial marriage.

There is no compelling state interest in allowing or sanctioning marriage between two people of the same sex. There is no societal 'good' that can be demonstrated.
There is no compelling state interest in discrimination, either, but plenty of good in it. At least that's what the Court ruling out here in CA said.
