That's why corporations move there. Environmental standards are low, cost is low, profits are high.

Do you understand capitalism?

Well, we all know how that ended up but nowadays there are laws that ban Nazi speech while at the same time people --leaders, influential people-- deny Climate Change. Of course, it will lead to a Holocaust 1000 times worse than that caused by Hitler. The Holocaust will be slow and protracted, making future generations their victim.

This is the last unfortunate event:

Marco Rubio: I Don't Believe Humans Are Causing Climate Change

And these are the facts:

Meanwhile, a National Climate Assessment has named Miami as the city most vulnerable to damage from rising sea levels. While a Southeast Florida Regional Climate Compact paper warned that water in the area could rise by as much as two feet by the year 2060.

We have all the evidence. Now you place your vote.

Never ever in such short period of time without a reason. There must be a reason for it.

The reason is over 7 billion of us plus the toys.

It seems increasingly apparent that you don't.

Capitalism (or the workings of the markets) is what happens when the forces of supply and demand are allowed to work completely unimpeded. It holds great promise for those with a strong work ethic and an enterprising attitude, but it is not equally kind to everybody, particularly the physically unsuited, the short-sighted, the simplistic. Some are innocent victims, but some (the OP, perhaps?) do have a pretty crappy attitude to boot.

So via the process of parliamentary democracy which arose during what came to be called the Enlightenment, reforms were passed and a safety net built. Those safeguards carry a price tag, and not every society can fully afford them, as yet. So the really dirty jobs sometimes go abroad, and the "privileged characters" with artificial advantages (like labor unions) run whining to their political allies about the loss of "good union jobs with a living wage". Bwaaaaahhhh!

Or they dream up scare-tactics about the loss of cutesy polar bear cubs.

But it's been my observation that most people, and the women who've been the biggest benefactors of the "new economy" in particular, would rather work in a field like medicine, law, or education than shovel slag. Dumb-Billy-Bob isn't so sure, likely because his wife's healthier paycheck means he's no longer the "bull of the herd".

The late Alistair Cooke put it best: "Throughout human history, there have always been bad jobs; but bad as they were, they were better than what came before".

Lots of public figures have proposed "something better" -- Bismarck, Lenin, Hitler, Mao, Harold Wilson. All of them failed, and a few of them made a large contribution to the millions of graves that filled the space between the Seine, the Volga, and the Danube between 1914 and 1945.

Do you really think you have something better??

"We have all the evidence."

There is no other theory, in the history of science, that has villified further examination and exploration of the premise. Global warming is a cult, not science.

Only an idiot would presume a theory to be "proven" in the absence of refuting the null hypothesis. Science is not a show of hands or an opinion poll- it is a rigourous examination of data which holds up with valid statistics and detailed scrutiny. A cult, on the other hand, will villify and reject any questioning of thier "beliefs".

Wow-

Do you actually sit around and worry about such bizarre, improbable scenarios?

If I were you, I would be more concerned about the well being of the economy (which is real and in peril) rather than some nebulous "monster" like Global warming or Godzilla.

Keep in mind that sentiments of doom and peril, as will as a proliferation in horror movies, occurs in bad economic times. Obama has at least delivered us a few better horror films. I am sure that will be his best and longest lasting legacy.

Do you even understand how science works? No scientific theory is ever "proven", not even the theory of gravity....

Support of human caused global climate change amounts to denial of reality.

When you have no provblem being told 'we have to pass it to find out what is in it" and you believe you can keep your doctor, you have no problem being told human caused global warming will be certain death if you don't give us all your money... even if evryone agrees doing so 'will not save the planet in time'.

The earth is dynamic and constantly settling and shifting. Climate chantges come and go and always will while the earth exists.

Say it is warming or cooling and you will be correct. To suggest humans are the cause of global climate change is egocentric and not the first time in history that humans thought they were the center of the universe and the ignorant masses gave sacrifice to the priests to intercede with the gods for more favorable conditions.

The earth deserves respect but no good can come from the ignorant, politically and financially motivated who use hcgw to further a political agenda. The earh deserves better.

Yeah! Nature! Any denialist will tell you that Nature is the cause. Just don't ask for any evidence there's a natural cause for observed temperature rises, though. Asking them to support their claims makes them all weepy and whiny. Then they embarrass themselves by repeating long-debunked lies or just accusing scientists of fraud.
