What are gay people going to do with their time when gay marriage is legal in all 50 states?
for many, the same as they do now: spend the majority of their time mindlessly chanting the terms 'bigot' and 'hate' over and over and over and over and over...
Then what was the point of this thread and why would you want to deny people the right to marry?
I have never in my life voted for a ban on gay marriage. I have never participated in or donated to any organization that denies any gay person their constitutional right. I have never on this forum said that I oppose the right of gay people to get married.
Continue to run our private schools, hospitals, and charities that benefit our nation and take a huge burden off the public sector.
Perhaps - and this is a wild thought - perhaps you could redirect the energy used to keep the gays in their place right now towards those laudable goals? I'm sure the Carpenter's Son would approve.
This has to be one of the stupidest threads I've seen!
I'm gay, I'm legally married. I'm sure it will soon be legal in all 50 states.
What will I do? What I'm doing now. Working, paying taxes, raising our children with my partner, gardening, cooking meals, going to church on Sundays, doing laundry, cleaning house, taking my children to their activities.
Sorry bigots. I know you're looking for a deviant "homosexual lifestyle", but that's what I do with my life. No sex parties, drugs, diseases, gay recruitment or jail rape. No trying to force anti-gay churches to approve of me, no attempts to outlaw anti-gay thoughts. Maybe if some of you actually got to know some gay people, you might not have such stereotypes built up in your heads
B-b-b-but... you're gay, you can't be Christian!....LOL!

So then what is your issue with gay marriage? You seem to think about it enough to create a thread about it and comment about it.
I am relieved to know it is not a Christian church deceiving people.
Many of our Christian churches have accepted homosexuality. Some had floats in our last Pride Parade.
Even many of our Catholic priests are grumbling about the exclusion of gays.
I'll probably live my life just like I am now. I'll continue with my studies, hang out with friends, work out, go to work, maybe get a dog, go on dates, make mistakes, maybe find someone special and have the option of being able to marry them. I don't expect everyone to accept me, but I do expect to be treated like a human being.
If you're curious what the next step will be for the activists, it will most likely be passage of ENDA which I fully support. I could be fired in my home state just for being gay, and that is not okay.
