Sandra Fluke: ‘‘I’d rather be a captive Nigerian girl than touched by a Republican’’

Tuesday, May 13th, 2014,
(HERMOSA BEACH, CA) —Taking time out from her campaign to win California senate seat 28 in June, Sandra Fluke, who so famously called for women to be provided free contraception before a House Congressional panel in 2012, addressed the crisis in Nigeria involving over 200 kidnapped girls by the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram, Tuesday. And once again, the outspoken Democrat poster girl has ignited controversy.
Speaking on NPR’s internet public radio station KCRW in Santa Monica, Fluke was asked her opinion on the situation in rural Nigeria, where Islamists are holding around 250 school girls hostage, threatening to sell them into sexual slavery (or worse) if the government does not release numerous political prisoners they want to see freed from jail. Addressing the matter of the radical group Boko Haram, which as killed, bombed and kidnapped people before and has the lowest opinion of women, Fluke told KCRW host Madeleine Brand on her afternoon show Press Play that the girls being held captive by the militants should “count themselves lucky” they weren’t being held captive by Republicans or working for Republican lawmakers.
snip
In California she is guaranteed to win.

Your link is broken so I can't evaluate the source, but if she said that, even in jest, she is an idiot and I would question her judgement as a legislator.

This about sums it up. Well said.
It's crap like this that should point out how horrible and ridiculous partisan politics are/can be.

I went to the KCRW website and the Press Play podcast area. They may have scrubbed or never posted the Sandra interview because I cant find anything on their site. Id really want to hear this but unless someone recorded it, no change in hell KCRW releases it. They wont dare let a tape get out like that because they would protect Fluke.

I too went looking for a recording of this interview and was unable to find one. If she said this, yeah, she's an idiot. Anyone else have luck finding a recording of the interview?

Nope. If the source is lying, they should be sued. But how insane would it be to make this story up? Naming a radio station, the host, and quotes. Youd be a moron to just make it up. I still want to hear it but if it indeed happened, they made sure to never put it on their website.

I personally am sick to death of anyone who is in the public eye & heard by many that spews stupid remarks. I don't care if they have an R or D next to their names, it shows the rest of us that being in a political position doesn't insure that these people we elect are any smarter than the rest of us. Where is the empathy? If she said this then she certainly wasn't thinking of the parents of these kids or what could be happening to them right now. Another person filled w so much hate for the 'other side' that they 'speak' before they 'think'.

Ok, this didnt happen. No way. Look at the bottom of the article and read the last couple paragraphs. I hate the woman, but If I were here I would sure these people.
Looks to me the site tries to be an anti-liberal Onion site.
All you have to do is go the site's homepage to see its all made up bs in an attempt at humor. I hate sites like that.
