You do know that those who file initial unemployment claims were just recently participating in the labor force?

You do realize that people who cannot find jobs and who's unemployment run out are not counted in the unemployment numbers.

If the economy was doing well the labor participation rate would not be at 40-50 year lows.
If the economy was doing well people would not be underemployed, working at Starbucks when 6 years ago they were making 60k a year.

Well since you must cling to labor participation, an issue republicans didnt seem to care about while the economy was producing nasty headlines, as a means of coping with good economic news, here's a quick link.

A lot of people have run out of UI and have simply fallen off the map. If the labor market was healthy, they would be reentering.

Isn't it interesting that the opposition, no matter which side they're on, declare the unemployment numbers never mean what they seem on the surface.

If it were a GOPer in the Whitehouse, most detractors posting here would be doing the happy dance.
