I'm looking for China to launch its hostile takeover of the Russian Federation given that Russia has an economy just a little larger than Mexico and there are at least 9-10 Chinese for each Russian it should be a fair fight (Sun Tzu would approve of such odds). The Chinese will certainly know what to do with all the new real estate and natural resources.

They are ready to replace European companies if the EU goes on with the “irresponsible” policy of sanctioning Russia, Reiner Hartmann, chairman of the Association of European Businesses in Russia told RT in an exclusive interview."

You can always find a pro-Russian stooge on RT, count on it!!!

I don't think that'd be smart because Russia has a LOT of nukes and China would be burnt to a crisp.

It makes no sense at all.
Why would they?
Energy resources?
Remember Russia is agreeing to accept fiat Yuan as payment for energy.
Why would China risk the ravages of war when they can simply print?
It makes no sense at all.

We are in the age of games without frontiers and war without tears. The Chinese know a war is won before it even starts. The US military depends on small rare earth compund super magnets (90% are made in China)in small light weight motors used in robots, drones, etc. , semiconductor chips used in smart devices and liquid crystal or plasma displays. Virtually all of which are made in quanity China . When was the last time you bought a gps device, smart phone or any computer (desktop, laptop or tablet) that was not made in China. The good old USA may have already lost the war with China without even knowing it. I'm surprised the Chinese didn't insist the Russians accept trade REMIMBI (Trade coupon) for their oil and gas like virtually everyone else in the World has to when selling stuff to the Chinese . The Chinese Yuan is not convertable and can't be used to do business with a third party. Payment in those REMIMBI would limit the Russians to buying things only from China and as an other irony it is backed by the dollar accounts in the Bank of China, Its kind of the ultimate financial poison pill for the Russians.

Kinda sounds like "Japan Inc" of 25 years ago and we all know what happened there. China IMHO is looking at real similar problems because its wages are going up forcing production OUT of there to other countries like the US.

Yes, that is true. There is no desire. The problem is that for many Americans it is extremely difficult to not see the world and world events in militaristic terms and also make the assumption that everyone else is as eager for warfare.

Commies? What is this 1954? If you think Obama is a any kind of communist you don't know what communism is. I don't think there are any communists left for the U.S. to persecute. Now it is neoliberal government vs. neoliberal government cannibalism.

Most of you take this pretty lightly.

Fact is, we've been dismantling and gutting our military for years and relying more and more on "gadgets," many of which are themselves foreign made. If Russia and China really wanted to, they could blow us into oblivion. Fry us a hundred times over. We have no industrial base anymore. We have no will to do anything except consume and squabble over domestic social issues. We have no way to rearm ourselves should they decide to do a bit of tough love on us. Thus far they haven't because we are the locusts of the earth and consume their goods and feed their wealth. As long as that continues to be the case, we're probably pretty safe. They know enough to "love" a useful idiot. But if we begin to fail them... they could easily get out their "bug spray."
