I got my NRA mag in the mail as usual the other day, and there on the cover was Detroit's chief of police James Craig. The piece is entitled A Show of Courage in Detroit .

Craig solidly supports the Second Amendment, and the right of the law abiding to defend against criminal violence.

Chief Craig, who grew up in Detroit but left to pursue his law enforcement career, has an optimistic vision of the future:

I hope he can reign in the city and get things under control. It's going to be a tall order considering the **** poor condition the city was left in by 50 years of liberal spending, unsustainable promises, unfunded liabilities, general graft and corruption...etc.

Detroit stands a better chance with a person who will make decisions based on common sense, rather than what's easy and will generate some cream for the personal bank accounts. Just as Detroit was turning the corner, it was ran into the ground because of ideologies and greed.
