It's fractions of a penny per gallon....... keep in mind these are tax breaks, they aren't writing them a check. While all oil compnaies benefit the primary beneficiary is the "mom and pop" drillers. Exxon can absorb losses, they can't.

The refiners (Exxon) are making about 10 cents last I checked. Most of the money you pay for a gallon of gas goes for the raw product, after that the next biggest chunk is taxes.

Oil production is at an all time high, demand is not higher than recent past, but it had gone up about 75 cents per gallon in maybe the last three months. That is due mostly to the speculation on the stock market for the oil trade.

If you don't like gas prices, stop driving so much. Buy a bicycle or electric vehicle. Take the bus. Walk. Problem solved.

In my opinion... gas prices are too low.

$50 in my compact car lasts 400 miles. Gas prices should be $1 / gallon higher. The additional revenue should go towards upgrading rail, public transit, bicycle infrastructure, and fixing our existing bridges and roads.

You think upgrading rail, public transit, bicycle infrastructure, and fixing our existing bridges and roads would actually happen?

I believe in unicorns too!

"Despite 'fracking',gas prices are higher than ever before!"

"...hydraulic fracturing – a method that’s enabling greater production of natural gas in shale and other formations..."

Exactly what does natural gas production have to do with gasoline prices?
