Not really. Extremists are going to kidnap American hostages anyhow--they are not doing it for "prisoner trades." They do it because that is what they do. It's not like we let OBL go. I think it was the right thing to do. You don't sacrifice an American who fought for his country for a couple of small time guys who may not even be actual terrorists. Everyone wants Gitmo gone. Now they're going to complain about using that to free Americans? Please. This garbage about Obama "appeasing" terrorists is just that--garbage.

I'd trade 100+ Taliban for a single American life. No problem. If I thought they presented a threat to the USA I'd hunt them down and eliminate them as a problem once and for all.
The life of one American soldier is definitely worth a few taliban or al qaeda. How can anyone who is halfway patriotic complain about this?

One IED or FIM-92 Stinger is too much. You can bank on the fact they will return to it.
