The problem with this thread is you are trying to make it a black and white, liberals vs conservatives when cities don't function that way. Therefore you create a silly thread that turns into nothing more than conservative this and liberal that.

You're right, Phoenix was Republican held and dominated until 2004, and then they switched and have 10 years of fairly strong Democratic support.

Interesting point about density and black percentage. What is your conclusion based on those factors?

I'm not making anything black and white. I'm simply posing a question. If you don't have an answer, or don't understand what is happening, just say so.

Back on topic, take Oakland and Chicago for instance. Years and years of Democratic intervention to try and "stop the crime", and it's been decades since these cities have been considered normal in terms of crime. They regularly top the Top 10 in gun homicides, and have some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

Republican Giuliani transforms New York City (largest city in the U.S) in less than 10 years from somewhat shady city to fairly safe large city.

Maybe the liberal left ideas on how to curb violent crime simply don't work.

Okay, then take Seattle and Portland, both are low crime cities that both been liberal controlled for decades.

None of which appear in the Top 10.

Also note that Giuliani was Republican (New York City) and presided over one of the biggest drops in overall crime by any major city in the U.S until he left office in 2001.
Those aren't major cities.

Chicago isn't in the top ten.

Yes that's cool. But I'm talking about the cream of the crop dangerous cities. All liberal strongholds.

Why didn't you post the rest of the list for most dangerous? You just cherry picked one single city!

1. Detroit, MI - Democrat
2. Baltimore, MD - Democrat
3. Memphis, TN - Democrat
4. Philadelphia, PA - Democrat
5. Washington, DC - Democrat
6. Indianapolis, IN - Democrat
7. Milwaukee, WI - Democrat
8. Columbus, OH - Democrat

9. Oklahoma City, OK
10. Houston, TX - Democrat

Besides OKC, the rest are democratic held cities. Why are you cherry picking the data? Show the entire list. Doing what you did makes you seem like you're hiding something and being dishonest.
