O-Y - So why do people with huge amounts of wealth and power create monstrous crimes like investment fraud? There is a huge difference between stealing food for your kids and bilking billions out of investors.
Sorry my mind just blanked on the huge fraud based in Texas a few years ago.
You seem to think everyone who has a huge amount of wealth is a criminal. Faulty logic. Sure some are criminals the larger portion aren't. Do I assume all poor folks are criminals? Nope. Some do though.
I can agree with you for the most part in the bolded. I'd be inclined even to say that welfare and unemployment should be extremely short term, so as to not enable folks to continue to stay on those programs. Having said that your point about wearing t-shirts that read "I'm a parasite...ect...ect" sounds rather Third Reichish, given that Hitler did something similar to the Jews in Germany by making them wear the Star of David on their arm. Different circumstances, same premise, and not what this country is all about.
Nevertheless, it is restricting the freedoms of the individual. If you're old enough, a citizen of the US, and are not a convicted felon you are then eligible to vote. I don't like the low information voters anymore than you do, but I vehemently oppose restricting ones freedoms regardless of their financial status even more. You know the individual liberties and freedoms given to us by our Creator? How about those who are too damn lazy to vote? Where is the accountability on their part to get out and make a difference? My parents were like that, and it annoyed the p*** out of me.

Well every person running for office is after those you speak of. Sadly.
read what I was responding to. I wasn't the one who brought up jews.
Well when anybody brings up that I take offense. Not that I'm a Jew but how they were slaughtered. So if you didn't mean anything then fine. I will stand down so to say.
No reason to argue about nothing. Of course that is what this site is about............lol

you missed my point. I said people should have to wait in line for benefits. it should be a shameful experience for them. getting debit cards with a VISA logo isn't embarrassing enough, even though I know what they look like, and tend to look down on those using them. how does that "restrict freedoms?" making someone wait in line to collect extorted money is not a restriction of freedom. I am not too lazy to vote, I simply don't vote anymore. there is literally no option. I keep my eye out to see if something is up for a popular vote in the local elections, but other than that, I won't cast a vote for either party.
