Yes I'm wondering this as well. Instead of trying to p*** on the 2nd Amendment, why not go after the real problem and address mental health issues?
Because any attempt to restrict gun ownership, even the most common sense ones like keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, is met with outrage by the gun lovers. We aren't allowed to have a national discussion about guns because anything that restricts gun rights in any way whatsoever is verboten.
Well if we start going down the "mental illness" path again then maybe it should be brought to light.
A good majority of kids today are growing up taking psychotropic drugs for a decade or more.
Then again we're getting ahead of ourselves because the shooter has not been identified.
But these shooters are tending to fall into the same categories..young while male with histories of "social" problems.
The solution is obviously to arm all schools with an arsenal in the principals office. That will teach those mentally disturbed kids... no?
