Well, we know that he tried to evade Zimmerman, and we don't really have sundown towns anymore, so it's hard to see what Martin was supposed to do.
(And no, not the fiction where he stepped out of a magic portal and bashed Zimmerman's head into the concrete with his hands and simultaneously punching Zimmerman with weapons in his hands)
It's hard to believe there are still people out there who refuse to accept the actual facts and evidence that came to light in this case.
Now, the whole situation, this is how I sum it up. Martin could have just gone home instead of fighting. Zimmerman could have just stayed in his car as the police instructed him to do.

It's funny how in the past year his most loyal supporters, namely his wife and his best friend, both retracted their support for him and stated they do not believe in his version of the events anymore because of "his tendencies". Yet random people will continue to push Zimmerman's version of events, as if this proven perjuror's statements are to be believed like the Gospels. Their only motivation is the fact that they share the same "tendencies". They are the Michael Dunns of America.
Well, this is how I look at it. When he was declared not guilty, for me, I did not want to hear a word about this from anyone. When it comes to stuff like this, trust levels are very low. I began to consider someone could fear me for no reason other than being Black, and then shoot me. Now, with the Zimmerman case, there was a fight that took place. On the other hand, I had to wonder if there might be someone who might feel like "maybe I should be able to shoot first and ask questions later".

The "police" did not instruct him to stay in his vehicle. The dispatcher on the other end of the phone did. This has been re-hashed a kazillion times. But I get what you're saying.
When you shoot someone who is not armed and is not in your house, it is murder.
Not if you are being viciously assaulted and defend your life.
