Oh but I was! Both by earthly authorities and spiritual authorities. If you make God really angry (as in abominable acts) and exhaust His patience, you will pay a price that you will very much regret. It's tough love.

The majority of Americans accept homosexuality. I'm not disputing whether they believe in God.

The federal government was left without God on purpose. Thomas Jefferson clarified the point on the future of this nation. Christianity was not identified as being anymore important than any other religion. In fact, Thomas Jefferson, our prominent founding father, spoke quite clearly about his opinions on the religion:

"Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them; and no man ever had a distinct idea of the trinity. It is the mere Abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus."

"Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting "Jesus Christ," so that it would read "A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;" the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination."
-Thomas Jefferson

One can only hope that you find your way out of this brainwashed state into the teachings of the Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. Might you be misguided now, but he will be waiting for you when you come to reason.

This is going way off topic. Religion has nothing to do with how the Constitution should be taught.

Agreed. Teach our young people the Constitution and leave out gay issues.

Exactly. If our young people were taught about the constitution and how the founding fathers wanted equal rights for everyone in this secular nation, the gay issues wouldn't exist. Everyone would be treated equally... and this would stop being an issue.

Whatever happened to the "classics?" What is called "higher education" today laughable, if the required reading is of such trash as "gay themed" books.

Teaching of the Constitution and our founding documents and principles is important and worthwhile, especially at a time in our history when few people understand that the purpose of our American government was to protect our freedom and liberty.

Most higher education is garbage today. There's only a handful of colleges that even provide a higher education. And you know what's interesting? They're the same ones that were around when the founding fathers formed this nation. Almost all the newer universities are hardly providing an education.

Universities don't choose reading material.

That's education?????

If you "get the willies" reading about something you get an alternate book?

I thought South Carolina was a Red State? No wussies allowed. This sounds like some liberal scheme from those darn hippies out in California!
So you against choice? You are forced studies of degenerates?

Why my daughter goes to parochial school.
