The law on releases has changed overtime and now congress requires they be given 30 day notice to object. the same five came up two years ago in relation to same swap and its was rejected by the congressional committee. They did it then as then as now our intelligence denied them too dangerous to be released. This time they were released and even the two heads; majority and minority leaders where not informed until afterwards. Thus a law and investigation as to why it was not followed. The administration must justify it or suffer the consequences as always.

There have been 621 detainees released to date including Bin Laden's body guard back in 2003 when we were still trying to find Bin Laden and now we are having hearings over 5? Seems a little bit uneven.

Bush should have made a big spectacle of himself in the Rose Garden when he did it, just like
