What not to do when you open carry and are approached by the police.

Video Captures MI Police Struggling To Respect Gun-Toting Ranter's Open Carry Rights

Houseman grabbed his crotch, gave the finger, said his name was Joe Schmo, and refused to comply with requests that he put the rifle down and talk to the officers. During the negotiations, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Lt. Stacey Geik, who took over as commanding officer on the scene, told a dispatcher that Houseman was "exercising his open carry rights, however, he has certainly overextended them at this point."

...the lieutenant said. "How did this happen with open carry? What are you supposed to do when you contact law enforcement? Do you say, 'I hate you mother(expletive), (expletive) you? I hate you, there's a revolution coming.' Do you say that? Is that what you're taught?"

"It was wrong of me," Houseman said.

Guess who the sides are going to be when the crap hits the fan.

The Police State is working against the free people with liberties, since the 1890's.

You got to wonder what this guy was doing...

Open carry is one thing, but just having a rifle out and standing around isn't a good statement to make.

I support everyone's right to have a gun but there is no reason for what this guy was doing.

So, if I felt threatened by his irrational behavior, and this was a "Stand Your Ground" state, I'd be justified in shooting him?

The problem is with open carry, I'm just not smart enough to tell the good guys from the bad guys by their appearance.

Just make sure he's dead after you shoot him.

This Just In:

A guy open carried....

....and nothing happened.

Why doesn't anyone ever start a thread about those instances, because that is how it plays out a majority of the time?

Just another ammosexual showing off his stuff in public, looking to pick a fight.
Move on, folks, nothing to see here at all…

God help us. This craziness has no happy endings ahead.

What really bothers me is this creep is younger than I am, but he's old enough that he should know what he's getting himself into. Symbolic protest ends at a bullet in the chamber of an assault weapon. From then on, the threat is real, not symbolic.

Age does not equal maturity.

The average Fox viewer is a 72 year old who consumes no other sources of news media. Do you want to bet where this "gentleman" got his information.

Ammosexual? That's funny. Good post.
