A judge threatening a serviceman with jail if he doesn't show up in court while deployed on a submarine? Thats so clueless I don't even know where to begin.
I'll begin here: we probably don't know the whole story. Local TV news is essentially infotainment these days. They probably didn't bother to get all the facts. But they sure have clickbait!

Don't know what you're referring too, but what difference does that make? There are men who went to work and left his 5 children with mom only to find out she drowned them all... Using you're logic, we shouldn't leave children with their moms either...

It says, "In an action covered by this section in which the defendant is in military service, the court shall grant a stay of proceedings for a minimum period of 90 days..."

You know what else hammertime33, even if it wasn't a law, it's still common sense. It's common sense NOT to put a warrant out on a a deployed active duty service man or woman for not being able to attend a court date. The judge and anyone who is defending her lacks good judgement and common sense IMHO regardless of what the law is.
