It is already passed theory. It is observation.

Not even close. Receding glaciers since 1850 may be an observation, but that in no way supports the theory of AGW.

Global warming is very real; and it is likely too late to do anything about it. (Certainly, it will be late to counsel now or pray when the consequences of our delay are visited upon us.) It’s time now that we face up to the facts; or come face to face with the harsh reality of global warming at the grocery store when we are fighting in the isles for the food on the shelves. Then, you see, it will be a real problem; one that the government should have done something about.

By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.”

The fact remains not a single prediction from 40 years ago has come true. Globull warming predictions won't come true either.

You're right that earth day shares Vladimir Lenin's birthday. Very creepy.

No it's not, it's the idea behind the Eco-faschists and that is exactly what this group is, fascist!

This group is responsible for the deaths of millions of people around the world already but for that you will never hear an apology. I liken this group to members of the WW2 German police units that cold bloodily murdered tens of thousands of people by shooting them. The Eco-faschists are exactly of the same mind set in that they hate humanity and think nothing of killing millions if it goes with their agenda.

first you assume that man can do something about the so called issue, and second, you seem to like doom and gloom scenarios dont you?

first off warming brings to play farm land that was previously locked up under ice and snow. the northern US and canada, as well as russia can open up farm lands.

second technology, specifically farming technologies, will replace , and in fact IS replacing farm lands lost over time. hydroponics and airponics both are technologies being used to grow food, and lots of it.

third, desalination plants are being built in a number of places around the world to provide fresh drinking water. calfornia alone has plans to build 25 such plants, and the middle east is also building desalination plants. and there are plans to build a few in africa as well. china built the three gourges dam to create a water reservoir, and to provide electricity to parts of the country as well as create an easily navigable waterway.

your doom and gloom bull crap wont fly, man is far too inventive for that.

Global warming is here and now. It is not based on assumptions - it is based on scientific facts - evidence that is both observable and measurable. There is no disputing the facts. The ice is melting. The great glaciers are calving into the oceans. It is happening, and at an accelerated rate. The currents that generate the earth's climate are slowing due to the increase in ocean temperature and decrease in salinity due to the melting shelf ice.

The climatic consequences are alarming. California - the nation's breadbasket - is now in the third consecutive year of record drought. The rising sea level now threatens our coasts. Cataclysmic climate events rain down across the continents in both hemispheres.

Still, we refuse to see what is happening. "Global warming is a hoax perpetrated by Al Gore." "Global warming is based on phony science." One dissenting opinion overrules a mountain of scientific evidence. Even now, as we witness the devastating consequences, we are in a state of denial. Well, we - all of us - shall pay a very heavy price for our inaction. It is only a matter of time.

again more doom and gloom scenarios. yeah sea level rise is really going to kill us tomorrow. that 1 centimeter is really devastating right there.

no one is denying that we are in an interglacial period, been there for 15,000 years in fact, so naturally the planet is warming. but you have yet to issue any real proof that man is behind the warming, or that the warming is going to be anything to be alarmed about. the last interglacial period was in fact much hotter than this one, and by a substantial amount, and everyone came through just fine thank you. in fact if it wasnt for the eruption of super volcano toba, we would have at least two, and perhaps three species of humanoid running around right now, not to mention the hybrids that would inevitably spring up over the millenniums as each species interbred. so again, you doom and gloom garbage wont fly.

Where did you get this nonsense? Who published this B.S.? Some weatherman on local T.V.? It does not correlate to what is happening now; or in any way explain the scientific evidence. Why don't you ask a real scientist? One like Joseph Romm: Joseph J. Romm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
