There is nothing wrong with this, and I say that despite believing this wage level will cause some job losses. When you spend your money, or advocate where money should be spent, you send a message. That is the way it should be. Each dollar spent, and each boycott/buycott sends a message.
The City of San Diego achieved a majority Dem city council, and immediately studied dropping the ballot initiative to raise MW to $11 in favor of outright passing an ordinance making it $13.09 phased in, the idea was dropped when their own hired consultant produced an unfavorable study, it looks like it will just be a phased in $11/hr now instead.
Gainfully employed, I don't have a lot of time to search for this, but was there not a recent UCLA study showing how $15 HR MW would be detrimental to CA's economy.
